Has ANYONE had any luck getting household to delete a tradeline of an account I didn't even activate??? They sent their toy $500 card with it's $69 annual fee already charged on it and wanted me to activate which I did not, I told them to keep it. So now it's reporting as a $69 balance on a $500 cl from may that was closed at consumer's request/paid as agreed. That is so bogus I cannot believe them......reporting a card that was never even opened!! Help!

CRA~~"I did not accept the account...please remove"

Try it every 3-4 months...they will get tired of it and it will be gone...POOF!!!

Amy, you need to do this in writing to Hhld. Somebody else did this, and their annual fee went to collections!

DH was just offered the toy card, and when he told them the same thing they bumped his cl to $1000. Try this person:

    Irene Marquez
Executive Liason, Office of the President
    Household Credit Card Services
    P O Box 80084
    Salinas, CA 93912

You need to confirm at the very least that $69 was credited back to your account.

I appreciate that and I will write them about removing the tl, but they already sent me a letter confirming the balance was zero (and the account was closed) and the tl does show zero, I may not have explained that right before. High balance was 69, which I never paid so they reversed it. They are bottom feeders. Most people probably say, Oh here is this card and they've already charged me so I'll start using it!! I have a best buy card with them and I was going to try to use that as leverage.
