I have seen talk on these boards about people having their former addresses removed. Why is it good to do this?

I once read that you should remove old addresses to reduce the chance that someone might send a credit card application to somplace you no longer live. In that case you could leave yourself open to identity theft.

I'm sure there are other good reasons too.. I just can't think of any right now :)

The less addresses, name and SSN variations, the less data fields by which a furnisher of information can verify an account tradeline by.
