Okay gang, I have a collection which is valid right now on my CR. I am applying for a mort. as soon as my score goes up. Now the collection is for 369.00 thru HB/Best Buy and they have sent it over to Beneficial National Bank.

Im going to ask if they delete for payment, if the answer is yes than Im going to ask for a deletion letter to be faxed to me b4 payment. I read in another post that a woman got her deletion letter from the CA but the CRA would not take it off her CR b/c the letter stated that the debt was valid even though she had it deleted.

How can I make sure that my letter of deletion will not incriminate me and that it will insure a complete deletion??

What terminology should I have them say exactly?? I'm sorry to be picky, but I want to make sure there are no loopholes in this.

    Thanks again!!

thanks crowmom for bumping that thread that I couldnt find concerning this issue...

Even though the credit card is mine and has since been closed, can I get them to state in the letter that it was reported in error with no mention of the debt being paid?

Do I tell the CA that the debt isnt mine, even though it is?? and that Im just paying it to make it go away...

Im so scared of saying the wrong thing!!! arghh..
