Well, got the word today, I was approved. Apparently the problem that held up my approval was that their computer figured my tax incorrectly. Anyway, it doesn't matter, hubby was totally put off by the time I got the word today and didn't want it.

Gonna look into Sony! Thanks for the heads up on that!

They sell direct at their site. I got mine from Egghead.

Well the hell with dell LOL. After what they put you through they don't deserve your business. I am sure you will have better luck else where:)

Hi, Nana. This is absolutely NONE of my business whatsover, but since I'm an experienced PC tech I may as well throw this out for you. Dell is one of the better big-name resellers and supposedly has some of the best support. But... if you REALLY want support, find a reputable computer shop near you. If you get a PC with standard components, you'll never have to worry about buying a proprietary part when the warranty expires and something goes wrong. For example, I've seen 3-year old Compaq replacement motherboards priced at $400.00+, while a good quality standard AT or ATX board can be had for about $80.00 or less. Besides, if you buy locally, you'll have a person there to yell at if things go wrong. :) Again, I don't mean to stick my nose where it doesn't belong, just wanted to offer a suggestion.
