HOW DID YOU APPLY ON-LINE? Did they mail "INVITATION" ??? I thought you had to "UPGRADE" existing card by phone...
I did get an ivitation by mail and went to the website to apply: www.webapply.com/aqo8 you can apply for the quatum w/out having any of there cards......
Tony,I don't know what their reasoning was? I also don't know what your income is,but it could have a lot to do with total avalible credit. These CC companys do take a hard look at avalible credit.wether or not it is being utililized. 13400 worth of credit might scare them off?
TRADE-LINES TOO NEW, ALSO AUTO LOAN NOT KEPT OPEN OVER 1 YEAR IF I READ IT CORRECTLY. IN ADDITION, MINIMUM CREDIT LINE IS 10K, UNLESS YOU HAVE HIGH FIVE OR SIX FIGURE INCOME, PROBABLY AUTO. DENIAL BASED ON OTHER OPEN ACCOUNTS.
As w/ other CC companies, it's usually better to apply for an inferior card (MBNA Platinum Plus), and then try upgrading to the superior card (MBNA Quantum). Saar
Your scores aren't "stellar" but they're OK. Your average age of accounts is under one year- too many new accounts in too short a period. Is your report showing activity on these accounts or are they just sitting there with $0 balances? I'd hold off on any new cards until the ones you have "season". Keep in mind that you also have to use 'em to grow 'em. Chase is pretty good for limit increases after 9 months, but again you have to use it. Good luck! -mj
Brad, I doubt $13,000 would scare them. I have close to $150,000 and my income has never been more than $52,000. I think, he needs to exercise the credit he has. www.creditsense.com
