I got a new car a month ago and financed $25,000 with Ford Credit. I currently have State Farm Insurance. I called Travelers and was denied covereage because my "score is just a few points below their minimum." She told me on the phone that they pulled Transunion, however, she would not give me any clue what their minimum score was or how close mine was. Anyone have any idea what score is needed to get insurance with them?

I have Travelers insurance and I know they pulled my Transunion. They never said a word to me about it, and my Transunion report is pretty darned bad. Worthknowing.com pulls TU and they they say my score was a "5".

My worthknowing score is also a 5, my credit must be a little worse than yours, do you know what number range that puts us in? Transunion is our worst reports. Anyone know of a good insurance company that does not check credit? Travelers transferred me to Progressive, but I believe their rates are higher than what my State Fram currently is.

I was with Progressive before I had Travelers. They checked Experian. Travelers was about $500 a year cheaper than Progressive for the two cars I insure.

I don't about your area, but I have NationWide and they are very reasonable. I don't think they pull credit reports.

CREDIT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH~

Call them back and tell them credit has NOTHING to do with your driving!!!

PEOPLE WITH PERFECT CREDIT HAVE ACCIDENTS AND TICKETS,
AND MANY PEOPLE WITH ROTTEN CREDIT HAVE NO ACCIDENTS OR TICKETS!!!!

Progressive states like 45 of 50 states, they based your rate on your credit, georgia, is one of the few they are only allowed to base it upon your driving record!

    wierd.huh.

By the way, cap 1 will sell you out (along with your credit report) to that insurance company thats on their home page. They will send you a pre-approved offer. If you are an account holder :)

CREDIT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH~auto insurance: What it has to do with it,is it has given insurers a lame excuse to goug us !
Auro Insurance is mandatory in most all states;while at the same time insurers use credit rports as a means to refuse insuring us:
What a CATCH 22 _____We have laws forcing us to buy insurance from people who refuse to sell it to us!!!
