My sister applied for a loan to consolidate her credit cards, but she was declined for "late or past due accounts" so she ordered her credit report from the same place the creditor pulled it from and there is NOTHING wrong with her credit report. She has never been late or past due. Why would they lie??? What can she do about it?
RE: Denied due to "late/p ALS: Get your sister to contact the credit department at the company at which she applied. Explain the situation to them. They will probably ask your sister to send a copy of her current credit report. Send them a copy along with a letter stating the reasons on which she would like to be reconsidered - certified mail. It will probably take them 30 days to reply, but she should get the answer she wants. Good luck.
