Yep, denied for the Perfectcard. 743 TU (no negs)...

    Reason: "TOO MANY NEW ACCOUNTS"!!!!!!

    WTF?

    Worth the bother of reconsideration?

BTW, they just denied me for a biz card last week for "PROPORTION OF BALANCES TO CREDIT LIMITS TOO HIGH" on TU!

    (12%)!

    UGH!

    Niceguy, what's up?

Yeah that was the reply I got from Fleet and Bank of Omaha towards the end my cc applying binge.

I asked for reconsideration at both places and was told no.

I'm guessing Chase will have the same viewpoint but than what do you have to lose? The inquiry is spent. Give them a call.

I myself have been laying low waiting for cards to mature. I'm guessing my Bank One and Chase cards will be combined.

    Best regards,
    Mirage

Hey Mirage! I'm just a little worried they may pull another INQ for reconsider...

How long are new accounts viewed as "NEW"?

Most of mine were opened in Oct/Nov except Pentagon which was last month,

You, Dogman and I opened new accounts all in the same time frame. I think I opened the most at 8 new accounts and still have not gotten back to the 700 FICO mark.

Of course the World MC, Visa Signature and Amex Green does not help my effort due to them only reporting the high balance as my CL.

My guess is that the 'New' should start fading around the 6 month mark.

I am charging and BTing with all 8 of them to make it look good. But in another month or so my balance should be close to zero.

Of course we can all fall into the George's status, 'too much credit'.

    Best regards,
    Mirage
