Hi, I was recently denied credit for getting a phone with Verizon Wireless. I checked my credit rating on eloan.com and I got 721. I don't know why Verizon denied me. Is there some way I can get them to check with a different bureau? They sent me a letter after my request saying that they used Equifax. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You may be able to PFB them asking for reconsideration, as well as asking if they would pull a different bureaus report. However, I suggest you order your Equifax report and see whats bringing it down. A 721 score through eloan (which I believe is basing it off of TU) should qualify you for any cellular phone w/o a deposit.

BTW, in the ltr they sent that listed EQ and the CRA, it should list reasons for denial. If you don't mind sharing, what are they?

Thanks for the help. I don't mind sharing. The reasons they gave me were:

    Insufficient tradeline experience &
Length of time on file with a credit bureau
