Ooh, I hope that happens to me. My last late CC is due to come off in Dec (and it's a baddy, late 33 times or something like that) I can wait til dec, I'm not applying for anything, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if it came off a little early. Congratulations!!
I have read in different places that the CBs delete stuff after 6 years, 9 months. Usually the customer serivce reps will manually delete it if you dispute by phone and the tradeline is older than the 6 years, 9 months.
I have two paid collections on Experian that are due to fall off in November, too. I've been calling periodically to have those deleted as "obsolete" but no go. I told them that I did not want to dispute them, though. I'm afraid that if I dispute as obsolete now, that the creditor will verify and re-age, and I don't want to have to deal with that so close to the drop off date. Thanks for the heads up, though. Maybe mine will magically disappear soon, as well.
The credit bureaus for the most part, will remove derogs 3 -4 months prior to the actual purge date listed. They openly state this. Marci, I would try again this month.
Marci, they can not reage. If they do, it's illegal and you can sue. Dispute it. I just did and had 4 public records deleted off of TU. It gave me 90+ points.
