I just bought the fico credit complete package from MyFico.com and received all 3 scores and reports. There are several items that I plan to dispute. However, some of the contact info is not available for some of the CAs. For example, my equifax report indicates 6 collections, 5 of which are definitley not mine and I want to dispute. However, the name of the CAs appear to be in some type of code i.e The collection agency "5738dhd55667" was hired to collect adebt of "$" owed to"x" on account #XXXXXX

Why is this, and what is the best way to go about finding where and with whom I dispute and or validate the debt.

That is just one of the anomalies from a FICO report. You will have to get your reports directly from the CRA to find out the actual CA. You can call the CRA reporting the collection, and they can probably give you the information as well, however, with a FICO report you are not seeing all the data fields, and can easily miss incorrect line items that are disputable.
