Did I get this right?

Understanding that there is no 30 day time limit on validation, I have a few questions on the next step I should take.

In May I sent a CM/RRR to NCO Financial Systems requesting validation. As of today nothing has been forthcoming.

Trying to put what I've learned here to use. This is what I should do next (correct me if I'm wrong).

Letters to all 3 CRA's with copies of correspondence with the CA and copies of the signed green card. In the letter to the CRA's I inform them they are reporting an unvalidated debt and request that it be removed.

    Did I get it right?

Try this number. They were great with me.
    1-800-221-0158
That is their credit dispute bureau.

If you want to lock the CA into 30 days; send the estoppel letter next, CRRR, wait until you receive the signed green card back, then dispute with the CRA's. That way the CA either has to produce validation to you within the next 30 days (and would subsequently verify with the CRAs) OR they would (legally) be forced to delete.

OK, to clear things up. NCO is not reporting the listing. The OC is. They would still be forced to delete correct?

That's different. Your post implied the CA was reporting the account.

What you've done already (for the CA) is a good step forward. You have proof they received your validation letter, they cannot report this account now. If they do, instant violation of the FCRA and FDCPA. As far as the OC goes, letters you've sent to the CA won't hold water for what the OC is reporting. You would need to send the OC a modified validation letter as well. The least you should be able to get the OC on is not placing the account in 'dispute' on your credit report(s).

Also, the CA is not required to respond to your validation request, they very well may have just sent the account back to the OC. They are only required to do so if they place the account on your report, or if the account was already on your report at the time of sending your letter.
