I sent in a dispute via fax for a neg that is no longer showing on my credit report. I have been at this long enough to know to be more careful, but I guess we are all entitled to a mistake. I guess I need to know if once they see this negative that I am disputing is not on the credit report will they add it on? The thing is that I sent them proof that that the CA could not would not validate (which is true) in the form of my CRRR and a copy of the letter that I sent to them. This is usually o.k. when there is a neg on the reports but now I am wondering if they will just decide to add it on. By the way the CRA is Equifax if that is important.
LOL, its happened to me a couple of times, when I get antsy and send letter #2, then they respond to letter #1. What I have gotten are letters from CSC stating "this account is not reporting on your CR", or no negative info blah blah. I wouldn't worry. Heck, they always refuse to accept our documentation anyway!
I really hope your right. This is a real baddie and I am so scared. Equifax is my best report right now and I would hate for this to show up on there.
I disputed a collection account with Equifax, not realizing that they had already deleted it in my previous round of disputes. They sent me the following response: "The additional disputed accounts are not currently reporting on the Equifax credit file." It never reappeared. End of story.
