In these days, while surfing through the internet, I came across an exciting statistics from Gartner about fraud in America. Iâ??m posting it here in case if it might be interesting for someone. According to a survey conducted by Gartner, only in 2006 about 15 million Americans have been victims of some kind of identity-theft. And these statistics mean that the level of fraud alone in America has increased more than a 50 percent in comparison with 2003 when the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) estimated 9.9 mln. American victims of credit card fraud. Therefore day by day almost everyone complains that definite amount of money was stolen from his/her credit card account. Sometimes not only individuals, but even companies have no idea how it happens, how fraudsters can access to the important financial data of their clients. For example, the average loss on accounts because of the fraud has increased even from $2,678 in 2005 to $5,962 in 2006.
