    Tracy,

We can still offer support and I believe your post was a very noble gesture. You expressed concern for a fellow Credit Net member. So don't feel too bad and enjoy your drink.

    Tony,

I was referring to your Star Trek comment. Obviously as credit netters it's a totally differnet story. Who would you compare to the Borg? The OC, CA' or the CRA's?

    Dimples,

I feel for you! Don't be too bad on yourself, there are people in worse situations then yours. We are going to be homeless come Nov 1st, thanks to a broker that we trusted.

He said not to worry he would close on the deal, but I can't rely on his word anymore.

I am going to start calling storage places tomorrow and then we will move in with my wife's parents until we can find another place to rent.

    Good Luck!

Sorry to hear that Tac. I have gone through a rough time with our refinance. I tried to do it through GMAC figuring they already hold the existing mortgage so a refinance should be a walk in the park.

    Boy, was I off.

Anyway, I hope you guys get settled soon.

    Miami, to answer your question...
Well, since borg is a collective consciousness entity, I think I would say collection agencies are a borg and credit netters are a borg. Obviously there are good and bad borg, if you will. OC would not fit under this borg thingy lol

With that said, I'm creating this post to bump this thread back to the top. Perhaps when Dimples finds out what caused her score to drop she'll post it and maybe she can get some help and keep her dream alive.

Sorry guys for responding so late. Last night I got off the pc and went to bed, still depressed. I would like to thank all of you for your support, I really do appreciated the kind advice and words of wisdomâ?¦

To answer your questions about the credit score. Wellâ?¦. the score the lender used was the MIDDLE scoreâ?¦.I really canâ??t tell you want happened to the credit. I compared the high score credit report with the low score credit report and the only thing I noticed was child Support 30 late payment. Well I surely donâ??t think one 30 day late will drop the score 100 points! So we paid the Child Support current and got the 30 day late removed. The credit score didnâ??t move to muchâ?¦.I donâ??t know what happened really, everything on his report was the same except the Child Support. I am sure we could get a loan if we put a lot of money down, but we donâ??t have any more than 10k to put down. We donâ??t have anyone to co-sign for us; it is just my hubby and myself. Trans Union was the credit score the lender was using at the time of pre-approval. I truly at one point thought the builder had something to do with his score dropping. I say this because, the builder sales agent, hated the fact that we was not using their lender. I mean they really did not like thatâ?¦.So when it came time to tell the sales agent we didnâ??t get the loan, she didnâ??t sound like she cared a bit, but you best believe when we came out two days later she had other people looking at the house I DESIGNâ?¦.The same day I call to tell them we didnâ??t get the loan, she was one the phone calling people to come see our house. I know they have to sell the house but damn, can you at least wait a few days, and donâ??t do it in our face.

I really hope I can get over this because it has stressed me out. Do you guys think I should continue to look, or wait awhile to buy another house or what? We moved home with in-laws to save money while the house was being built. Now we have no house of our own. Do we rent a house for now, or do we continue to look for a new house, maybe an inventory home. Let me know what you think. And once again, thanks for all your advice!!!!!!!!

Tonyastime thanks for the insight. I guess you do get a lil blind sided when you thank of only The NOW. Yes I have a lot to be thankful for; I know that, I also know that things happen for a reason, not sure what this reason will be. I am a lil more optimist about this whole ordeal now. Thanks to The Credit Net Fam!

I have no mortgage expertise, but a few things occur to me.

First, if the report was clean otherwise, a single derog of most any kind can cause a huge drop like you saw. TU's scoring is particularly strange and scores don't always change upward when the report changes. (At least on the FAKO score, not sure about the FICO one.)

I assume since the late CS payment has been removed, you have pulled a TU FICO just to make sure of the score. If you haven't checked it, I would highly recommend doing so. There can be a huge difference.

Also, I've read on CN about something called "rapid rescoring" which sounds like it has helped some get their scores changed quickly specifically for mortgages. I know there is some cost involved, but it might be worth checking out.

It sounds like there is a big incentive for this builder to sell to someone else. Maybe they are somehow participating in the profits on the finanacing if it goes through their lender.

This sounds like a fight that still may be winable if you can do some quick work. (And having the builder working against you definitely doesn't help matters.)

I don't know if any of this helps, but I do wish you all the best with it.

I know it's tough, but you learned a good lesson:

The house you don't get is the one you couldn't afford.

See it as a good thing, now you can move on to bigger and brighter things.

So you are thinking we need to start out lower than 250K? If so why, if that is what we like and want?

Yeah we thought about rapid rescoring DemPooches, but the builder will not give us a few more days to get this done, that is the problem, the builder would like to have their money now. Thanks for your insight.
