We filed Ch.7 in 9/02, discharged 12/02 - we surrendered our home in the BK. All payments were current up to when we filed.

On TU and Equifax, the mortgage is listed as "included in BK, 0 balance." I can live with that.

On Experian, it is still listed as above, but this statement was added: "Foreclosure Proceedings Started."

If I write to the mortgage company asking them to delete that statement from Experian, do you think they might just turn around and ADD IT to TU and Equifax? I don't want to shoot myself in the foot here, but I would like to have it off!!

    Thanks!

You may have done it already, but if you used an attorney for the bankruptcy, what does he/she have to say about the status of any foreclosure proceedings during your bankruptcy? Were foreclosure proceedings actually started by the mortgage company or is that status incorrect?
