Anyone know what the rules are for what is considered harrassment???

I have a credit card balance with Dillards that I normaly pay on time. However, I recently moved and my bill did not get forwarded properly and I became 60 days late. I have paid the amount due for April which include the past 2 months. However, I am daily getting calls from from Dillard National bank from the same gal. First time I called them 2 weeks ago to ask what I needed to pay to become current and by when. This gal was rude and was responded by a demand that I go to the store and pay that that day which I ignored. Her voice was extremely hostile and i hung up on her. Another time she called and i made the mistake of anserweing and she demanded I give her another phone number because she couldn't reach me by phone on that number (duh ... who wants to answer a rude caller???) Once i did make send a check which has cleared my bank i expected the calls to end but they have not AND somehow they have my dad's phone and are trying to contact me through them. Isn't it illegal for them to be calling my dad demanding my phone numbers and telling him i owe a debt? His name is NOT on my bill and he has NO responsibility for it.... What can I do???

OC's aren't governed by the FDCPA, so you would have to go to your states collection laws. Alot (TX included) do not allow harrassment by the OC.

The quickest fix would be to try and call Dillards and get a supervisor on the phone and see if you can get this cleared up.
