Whats the groups opinion of Diners Club card? Credit score needed for approval?

I haven't had one for thirty years. Why would you even want one? They don't seem to be that widely accepted.

I used to have one, and I must say I did like Diners Club. I used it exclusively for business travel & expenses. I do recommend it for T&E expenses, as it offers some great benefits if you are a frequent traveler.

Although, for use as a "normal" credit card I would not recommend it. If you can't take advantage of the points and perks, then it is not worth the annual fee.

I have never seen one in real life nor have I ever seen one reporting on a credit report.

I think Citibank underwrites it thus, it's probably an okay product.

Is it a revolving or charge product?

I had one a long time ago and they were good when they were good, but miss one payment date and it's all over. No mercy. No excuses.

Use at your own risk (but why?)

Well, that applies to most products but, I think you're right . . . why have one if no one takes it.
