    To date, I have no real complaints except one-since I haven't been using their card and I now have a zero balance, DMB is in no hurry to report that fact to the 3 credit bureaus since March'03.

    Same problem here. DMCCB has not upated my CRs in 3 months, since I paid down a 1.3K balance and really haven't used the card much.

    The worst thing is that the 1.3K balance is still showing up on my CRs and bringing down my score.

    Every month, I thought they would update, but they haven't. I got tired of waiting, so a few days ago, I disputed the balance on-line with EX. Hopefully, DMCCB will update soon... that is, if EX doesn't decide to just delete the TL first!!! :)

    The application I received stated no reported bankrupcties, collections or judgments within the last 18 months.

    All I know is my husband signed up for a card two years ago, sent in the fee, etc., and we never received a card. Realized about a year later they had tagged his CR for a $149 debt and sent it to collections. We never received the card, let alone activated it or charged anything to it, but they won't take it off and we're now going through the rounds with the CA. About to get the atty gen involved.

    After this hassle with them, I would never open a card with them again.

    Yes, they received the VL almost a month ago. DH had tried to dispute directly with OC last year, who admitted card had never been activated and there were no authorized charges. They wouldn't remove and he neglected to get what they did say in writing.

    So now we're going the CA validation/CB verification route, but too soon to know results.

    I need Direct Merchants customer service number please. Equifax is showing this card with a bad debt balance due of $328.00, but I have never had a credit card by them! I did dispute and it came back verified last week.

    I guess I will call, unless someone has a better suggestion.

    In about 4 months. Direct Merchant's will be broke, and you'll have no problem getting it removed from your report.

    Their credit rating was cut last week. The end is near for them...and they'll go the way of NextCard and FCNB.

    Thanks olivse and too much. I will call today! I would wait it out, but it pisses me off. I'd rather make my own problems than have someone just give them to me.
