Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! When I'm wrong I type it. When I'm sorry I type that too. The poster asked for help with unauthorized charges and billing errors. I answered you judged and provoked and accused her family of doing something she says they didn't and couldn't. Shame on you! [] Sassy
Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! LOL, thats the exact word i used to describe him after he attacked me in my very first post here. Too much, I've never seen you argue things like case law, interpretation of the FCRA, or any of the other interesting subjects that are debated here. You only attack people who seem like easy targets for you. that says a lot about the kind of person you are. it also tells us about the kinds of people in and around your life. you dont seem to realize that there are actually people out there who do NOT lie. Some people actually DO have nice families & strong, honest marriages. It is a shame that you don't know anyone like this, which must be the reason that you immediately form a negative opinion about everyone. youre an angry little man, arent you.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! George....I don't have mine plugged into my phone and I get PPV fine. I just have to phone it on or order via the internet.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! OK, I JUST ASSUMED THE DIRECTV INFOMERCIALS THEY HAVE ARE CORRECT... So you really don't have to have it plugged in... BUT THEY ALSO SAID I WON'T GET MY BASEBALL IF IT IS NOT PLUGGED IN...
You only attack people who seem like easy targets for you. that says a lot about the kind of person you are. crowmom ================ So does this. A donkey had an IQ of 186. He had no friends at all though. Even in the animal kingdom, nobody likes a smart-ass
Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! oh so you're a woman? now i get it. you have experience with this whole husband/porn thing, huh. no wonder you're so bitter. i'm curious. How many other posters thought she was a man?
Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! That is what I have been trying to say all along!!!! I was the only one home in the AM and my son has been with his Dad in Mississippi the entire time.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! George, don't beleive them. We have 2 receivers. Our "primary" receiver was no where near a phone, so it was never connected to a phone line. The secondary one was. We pay the $4.99 for mirroring and it works just fine. We also get the NFL Sunday ticket and it works just fine. We cannot order PPV from the one that is not connected to the phone, but we can order it online instead. We just recently (within the last month) finally had time to install a phone line in the living room (after 2+ years), so now both are hooked up to a phone line, but for over 2 years our primary one was never hooked up and we had no problems.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! It's amusing how many times you need to remind me that you have me on ignore.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! No, no personal experience. However, I do have experience with something called 'common sense.' What's more likely: Vicious hackers invaded this person's DirecTV system, and then only ordered 6 movies? or The husband ordered some porn, and is too embarrassed to admit it, so he lies to his wife? That's a real tough one.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! How about, vicious hackers cloned the card, and were able to order ONLY 6 movies before they were DETECTED? or The husband drove umpteen miles back from MS to order 6 porn movies, while tying his teenage son in the trunk so he wouldn't tell, or better yet they made a circle jerk out of the whole thing? or too much drove to the house, ordered the movies for herself, and now she is attempting to cover her tracks by pursuing this line of attack? I go with choice #3!!!!
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! If they show up on the home box unit, they were ordered from the house. What part of that don't you understand?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! phinfan, It sounds like someone has cloned or "hacked" your card. They would need to have your card physically to do this. If the movies show up on your menu as purchases then how do you think they got there? Face facts. DTV knows there is a widespread hacking problem and they are trying to stay one step ahead of the pirates every move. I applaud them for their efforts but it's a losing battle. DTV has no choice but to force you, the consumer to pay for their shortcomings. I advised you once before to threaten to cancel your service. Call the corporate office and ask to speak to someone in retention.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! WRONG!!! Previous purchases are downloaded from DTV's servers to the box every night, so if a cloned card was used elsewhere, but matched to phinfans box, the purchases are billed to them, and they show up on their box. As stated before, DTV has been known to have issues with their cards being hacked, and rather than jump down their throat assuming that the dad and son are in cahoots in ordering porn, why not go with the more plausable explaination that their card was hacked.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: DirectTV charging for pornNOT MINE! Purchases made from the home unit are immediately recorded on the home unit. You don't have to be connected to the phone line for that to happen. Try this: Disconnect your phone line, order a movie, and then see if it shows up on the history. It will.
