    SoParkDiva,
They have no corporate office or retention department. This is a rinky-dink phone company from another county. Like it or not, we will pay the bill. When we transfer to Cocoa Beach next month we will be with another provider. But in the meantime, Husband is talking to an attorney.

I believe SoParkDiva means to call DTVs retention dept. not the phone comany's. But i have no idea about any of this as i've never used DTV.

So you're going to pay this? and then what? try to get your money back later? I wouldnt pay it. Definitely talk to an attorney and see if you can just get him to write a threatening letter for you, but dont pay it! why would you? are you afraid of it going on your reports? you know how to keep that from happening. start writing letters now. I wonder if you could even imply that you could sue for all the emotional distress this has caused your family-- making hubby & son look/feel stupid, embarrassed, having to defend themselves, etc.

on the other hand, i guess i could understand paying something that's not yours, since it is so much easier than all of the above.

i'm fighting a measly 43.00 charge from a bitch of an obgyn who's trying to charge me for a missed appt. i didnt miss it -- i left before my name was called because i had waited 2 freaking hours in the waiting room already. I explained this to her when i first got the bill, but they are still trying to charge me AND tacking on FINANCE CHARGES!! LOL. I don't care what it takes, I will not pay this bill nor allow it to go on my reports. sure it would be so much easier to just pay it, but i wont. that's just me.

phinfan, please don't let someone as uninformed and unbending as "too much" (name suits) prevent you from standing up for your rights! As I posted at creditboards, the very same thing happened to me. Unfortunately, I didn't have Sassy to guide me. Personally, I wouldn't have had a prob with my husband watching porn and would have watched it with him! However, I do have a problem with paying for something I didn't get and he didn't order it, nor did I. I checked the times it was ordered and the times it was viewed. We were both at work!

No offense but are you both employed at the same workplace? It's amazing to me how women know exactly where their hubbys are at all times =)

My husband works 60 hours a week. His only off day is Tuesday and every other Sunday. He has an hours drive to get to work. Do you honestly believe he's going to spend an hour driving home to watch a little porn and then another hour driving back. Not to mention the hour driving home again when he gets off at 7PM. Personally it doesn't bother me, but I think you should give phinfan the benefit of the doubt. I would imagine she knows her husband better than you think. She came here asking for advice and got slammed (by some). I read this board from time to time (it does have a lot of good info), but I joined because I felt the need to stand up for phinfan and too much's replies really ticked me off.

I'm not some starry eyed newlywed that believes her husband does no wrong. And I can assure you he lies quite well. But he didn't lie in this case. He didn't order the movies.

I'd send the Dr's office a bill for your time waiting. I had a friend that used to do that when she had to get back to work and couldn't wait any longer. Her doctors' would just forget it.

I would be suprised if you could "hear" anything that I typed on the internet.

Still, it's comfort enough for me to know that your obsessive disorder compels you to continue reading my messages.

To George and all other members and readers of credit net, with the exception of too much. I apologize for joining this board and immediately getting involved in controversy. I will admit that work was slow today and too much certainly kept me entertained. Thanx too much! However, I know better and in the future will try to refrain from letting those that are personality challlenged bring out the worst in me.

interesting. I was just looking at the news and a patient who waited over three hours for his doctor sued him...and won. The patient sued for $5k, but only got $250.00 but now all doctors are on notice.

If you post over here, Dega, you'll need these to keep you from insanity on some days.

Pretend there's a pretty bow on them, just for you

George will give you a 101 should you have missed how or why they're used, LOL, he's a lot less wordy than me.

    Any word from DTV yet?

As for paying the bill, I find that sometimes it's easier to fight for a credit then fight a collection. I fought Ameritech (SBC) and they lost, I got a bigger credit then what I paid because of the stink I gave them.
