I filed CH7 BK March last year, and my attorney advised me to include my auto loan, even though I expressed to him that I wanted to keep it. He said I'll still be able to do so. After the BK had been discharged, my auto loan lender reported to my report as a CH7 Discharge, so it shows as a bad mark. They informed me that I should've done a re-affirmation (which my attorney had failed to advise me of). So now I'm screwed. On top of paying 21% interest (because of bad credit) , and paying on time for the past 2 years, and NOT getting any DUE credit reported to my file, I have a NEGATIVE mark on my credit for doing everything correct! What should I do? Should I drop the car and just give it back to them and end all ties? If so, will this cause a 'repo' to show up on the discharged item status? I really don't want a repo to show up. Any advice will be appreciated. TIA.
