I applied for a Discover card in October and was denied. The reason listed was: Collection. I got the denial letter in about 7 days. The collection they spoke of was in dispute at the time and later removed since it wasn't mine. I called Discover and they said after 30 days I would have to reapply. I reapplied on 11/10 and haven't heard anything back from them. Is this a good sign? If I call them will they tell me if I've been approved? Thanks.
When something is removed from the credit grantor it can take up to 60 days. If it was removed by the credit agency this could be immediatly. So either way you can still call them to check the status. Good Luck!!!
