Hello Everyone, I'm a newbie here. I've had a sheriff hand me a court notification at work. It says that Discover Card dragged me for ~20k + attorney fees. It's almost 7-8k more than what I thought that I owed them and more importantly, I did not expect the sheriff to drop by at work. You need to prepare your response to the complaint and respond to the court within the timeframe given in order to avoid having a default judgment ruled against you. You can either do this yourself or, if you can afford it, you may want to find a good lawyer to help you through the process.
