Does anyone know a GOOD contact at Discover Card to help remove lates from reports? I tried their CSR and they said "we CANNOT remove lates....ever". I know the CSR is NOT who I should talk to. I only have 2 lates, 1 from 12/96 and 1 from 1/97 and I would like to have them removed, but no luck so far. The account was opened in 92 and closed in 2000 paid in full with no other derogs on it. For somethign that old, have you asked them to provide PROOF that the payments were late? For something 5 or 6 years ago, its unlikely they have it or are willing to get it.
Does anyone know how long they keep records? I have lates from '99 to 3/01. Wondering when I can challenge them and catch them not having proof....
