My wife got a new Discover card within the last 30 days and it is not reporting to her credit yet. Anyone know the rules for Discover?

They will report it within the next month or so more than likely.. as far as rules.. There are no rules saying a company has to report to the CRA's.. Rules are there too say, that when reporting to the CRA's that the information is correct..

But a company can choose or not choose to report credit information to the CRA's that is a companies own decision

Okay, thank you. Does anyone know if Discover has a practice of NOT reporting to the CRAs?

Discover reports to all three CRA's - don't when they start reporting but likely within 60 days.

You should see it in your reports soon. Discover is over aggressive in reporting and checking credit reports. You will see AR's done every three months most probably on your TU report.
If it doesnt show up in your report in a month and you want it reported you call also call their CS number and speak with a supervisor. Some of CSR in discover unlike other CCC have authority to update CRs. For "this" request they will be more than happy to help you.
