A new Discover Titanium Card for hubby, came in the mail while I was awaythis week. Its limit is 6,000 and its at 0% until January.. would YOU make a move as I am thinking if the
shoes were on your feet ?

    Bank of A... $8,341.90
    Discover Platinum $6,000 @ 0% until December
    Citi-Bank $4,800 @ 3.9 until paid ..

I haven't paid BofA yet for the month was thinking/hoping I'd slice it down
$341.90..depending on what more I owe on kids camp fees. I will find that out
    tomorrow.

The question is . would you ask the BRAND NEW DISCOVER to make a payment to
BofA of 6,000 .. It could possibly turn us around like this

    Discover #1 6,000 @ 0% until December - min $120
    Discover #2 6,000 @ 0% until January - min $120
    CITI 4,800 @ 3.9 until paid - min $97
    BofA 2,000 @ 4.75% until paid min $44

This move .. would knock my interest down to less than $25 until December . thing is ..
I'd have to have a NEW place by December/January in which to move these big
DISCOVER balances and/or count on BofA taking it all back at the 4.75% rate. This
of course would not keep within my hubbys wants to narrow the cards down in number but
would save a few dollars in interest for the next few months.

Should I "exercise" the credit or quit playing with fire ?

Hey, do you think Hubby could call DISCOVER and have the first new account closed
and the new Titanium Card limit doubled for the offers accomodation ?

    Cherie

    BofA doesn't EXPIRE...BUT you MAY/MAY NOT have a BT fee of $50.00...

    George,

Thank you for the information on BofA. It is helpful. I am going to make a transfer for a few months and count on BofA to take us back around the first of the year.

This is what I found out from a DISCOVER rep last night.

DISCOVER does not merge accounts period, but when I got through to a Balance Transfer Specialist, he let me know that we have a 150% BT option on the new Titanium account. .This is when you BT you can go up to 150% of the orginal limit so in our case up to 9,000. Hubby and I talked it over and this is what we are going to do when I get back to them today.

    Currents
    BofA 8,341.90 @ 4.75% V
    Discover 6,000 @ 0% until December
    Citi 4,800 @ 0% until paid

I'll request NEW Discover to pay off BofA in the amount of 8,300. I will pay out the other 41.90 on this months bill. Then this is what our credit debt will look like

    T DISCOVER 8,300 @ 0% until January
    P DISCOVER 6,000 @ 0% until December
    CITI 4,800 @ 3.9% until paid
