If you don't get instantly approved? They have to do "perform additional processing". What does that mean?

    Maybe YES, maybe NO...

I was denied with a 758 TU. Reason, new accounts with balances. I guess they spotted me for a rate surfer. Now I have a useless hard inquiry on TU.

    Laurie,

I got this same message when I applied online. I was approved for the card three weeks later. Usually, if the address, SSN, DOB, or there is some other conflicting information that doesn't match they will deny you instant approval. As long, as your credit is in good standing, you shouldn't have a problem.

    Good luck.
