Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas with friends and family.

I have a question about the Discover Gold Card: What are the main differences between this card and the Discover Platinum card ? What's the max limit you can get with the Gold card ? I have to admit that this is a really good looking card and I may convert to this just for the looks unless the Platinum is much better.

    Thanks.

    HAS A "WIERD" PERCENT SYSTEM...

Has a limit...and over a certain $$$$ amount you get LESS...

I think it was like 1% up to like $4,000
Then .7% there after with a LIMIT of like NO MORE THAN $300.00/YEAR...

Why doesn't the web site have any info on the Discover Gold? Is this supposed to be hard to get or what?

    1-800-DISCOVER
    OR SEARS STORE (I THINK)
OR "PRE-APPROVED" TYPE INVITATION IN THE MAIL

i believe it was creditmania.com or bayhouse ,i forget which one but, i do believe it was the first one that is offering the dicover gold application online...check it out i was reading threads and noticed it at the bottomof the screen....hope this helps.... they have a great BT offer going right now. if all you wanted to do is move some debt with no intrest for some time....but the only downfall to me is they do that whole two cycle thing.....MERRY X_MAS

What a coincidence!!! I just opened up one of my presents (a DVD movie - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and it looks like Santa included an application form for the Discover Gold card inside the package.

    Terms:

    No annual fee

0% rate for purchases and BTs for 6 months, a 12.99% rate thereafter.

You get $20 back for every $2,000 in purchases up to and including $6,000 in total purchases (full 1% cash back); then $10 for each $2,000 in purchases over $6,000. Max reward limit is $500.

This card seems like a good deal for those who don't spend several thousands of dollars per year on the Discover card. The catch is that you must spend at least $2,000 in a year to get the $20. Anything less and you get NOTHING.

I don't think this card is tough to get, but it is new and that's probably why it's not on the Discover website.

I got some nice gifts this year, but an AMEX Centurion card with the annual fee waived for the first year would really make my day!!!

    Steve,

Discover Platinium card give you up to 1% cashback at the end of year but Discover Card Gold didn't cash back. Discover God give your credit back to the account. If you spend $2000and You will get $20 credit back to the account and spend 4000and earn $40, and spend $10,000 earn $80. Let sy if you don't spend enough $2000, you earn$0. Discover Gold card didn't sent you check at they year otherwise the benefit is similar to the Platinium.
