Filed for BK7 4/03, discharged 7/03 Rarely got sub-prime CC offers (but not anymore so far!) and never prime CC offers. Today... I got in the mail from Discover inviting me to apply Discover Platinum Card(0% APR FOR LIFE) No annual fee, up to 10% cashback bonus and a credit line of up to $50,000. UMMMMM.... What gives? why is this the first prime offer post BK? I don't want to apply then get denied.. whatcha think? Tom
Hi Tom If I were you, I wouldn't risk it. Invitations to apply are different than pre-approval letters. Since BK, I've gotten a few "invitations to apply" from Citibank, AT&T, etc. -- all a really sweet deal! I think for some reason my name wasn't excluded from whatever list they bought, but I'd be willing to be if I did apply, they'd reject me right off!
