Has anyone switched their Platinum card to the clear card? If so, how do you like it? I saw an advertisement for it in my email and then I called Discover to ask about it. Sure enough, they told me they do have clear cards. I just have never heard it advertised on TV or anywhere else, not even on their website. I guess it really hasn't been out very long. If there is anyone else out there that has one, please tell me how it compares to looks when it is being compared with the other clear cards out there.
I've seen it once. I didn't like the design with the drops of water. IMHO, AMEX Blue has the best clear card design. I'm keeping my regular Discover Platinum card.
Steve, Thanks for the reply. I asked the rep if I would be able to keep my regular designed Platinum card in conjunction with the the clear card. He told me I could, so that means I can switch up and use one or the other. The card account would remain the same and I made sure I verified that with the rep. Watch, when the card comes in the mail, it will probably be a whole new account and then I will be forced to use the clear card even if I don't like it. It will probably be just like Amex, I called them to see if I could get a clear BLUE card. They said yes, and the account number would be the same. Turns out, when it came in the mail, the account number was different. I can't stand it when what they say always turns out different, it happens almost all of the time.
IT IS NO BIG DEAL...you don't get a lower interest rate, or bigger cash back, or higher credit limit... PRETTY PICTURE...
