I just transferred 4500.00 to discover at 0% for a year. I went to make my payment today online and I totally forgot to have it in by the cutoff time(4 hours late). My question is will they jack up the interest for this error? I made the payment four hours late, still I know that it still will go on tomorrows business. Anyone have similiar experience? Any suggestions?
Probably they will because they are scumbags. They are also known for delaying your payment in order to jack up your APR> I suggest getting away from Discover as soon as you can
I second that, Mine went from 9.9 to 21.9 in a matter of 1 month. You can call them up to have the changed. Tell them that you got tied up doing something else. I've never had discover do it, but Citibank helped me like that. Get rid of that discover CARD!
I have been very happy with my Discover card. I did the same thing as you and transferred a large balance to the card with no problem. I also paid it off within the one year period with no troubles whatsoever. Overall, I have had good luck with them. Although I haven't had to deal with a billing dispute yet, which I have concluded can be somewhat fishy from what others have said about the company.
