I have a pending investigation with Equifax. When it is over I expect my report to be totally clean. When it is I will ask for a new credit report to be resent to Discover. I applied for Discover a few months ago.

Does anyone have the number? Has this worked for anyone?

I will still have 2 old (over 2yrs.) 30 days lates as the only derog.

good luck. They wouldn't reconsider my 705 score too many inquiries was the only reason.

they suck the big one like AMEX :)

Discover will be raising their rate to 16.9 June 15. Why apply for them again? There are other cards out there with better rates for your score.

The reasons I would reapply is I already have the inquiry on my credit report. I want to buy a house soon (by the end of summer) so I don't too many inquiries on my report and new credit. I want to do a balance transfer because my cap 1 is maxed out. I know they pulled Equifax only for me. Plus the scored simulator on Equifax showed if I got a new credit card with at least $5k credit limit I would be in the 700-740 range. My score is currently 698.

Those are the only reasons why but if the rate is going to 16.9% then it's higher than my cap 1 13.9%. Thanks for the voice of reason. Maybe I will reconsider my reconsideration of Discover. And leave well enough alone.

Thanks guys, I don't think I will pursue it again. No use in getting denied 2x.
