HELP!! Over 30 days ago I sent Discover a version of the "validation" letter on this site. I actually contacted them several months ago to see about paying a ballance that my husband owes. It is about 6 years old and they did sue him and had a judgement entered against him, but they never came after him as far as a garnishment or anything. I disputed and the judgement entry was removed on all 3 credit bureau reports. Before they would talk to me (I am not authorized on this account) they wanted a letter from him giving them the ok to speak to me and a copy of his DL and signature three times, which I sent with the letter. They have not responded nor have they removed the item from his reports. I am happy to pay this, but not till they can verify it. What should be my next step? Should I send out a second validation letter?? Shanna
