I have trouble getting cards because of high balances. Scores about 655-700, depending on which one you check. No negatives at all, just high balances. Discover is calling me, writing me and , is agressively trying to give me one of their cards. Last night the rep said they only needed my approval and the card would be sent out. So that sounds better than the standard preapproval. I so not want to waste an inquiry. Is it worth it to say ok, or am I setting myself up for heartbreak? I get the impression they are desparate.
For now, 6 months @ 0.0% APR for both purchases & BTs They also offer cash back, but I haven't read the fine print yet. Searching older posts, I noticed people who contacted Mr. Brown got their "go to" APR lowered to 9.9% FIXED. Not bad, but the 2-cycle billing is still a concern. Not sure how I'll use the card when the intro APR expires. Well, I can always put it in GEORGE's sock drawer Saar
I accepted their platinum in May on a phone offer. What they had that I already didn't have was a 10K CL, but the go-to is high. I don't use it that much, but the 10K CL is nice for ratios. They had been sending offers in the mail that I had ignored.
