I notice an alarming trend, and that is discrimination of those of us with less than perfect creidt. I recntly applied for credit with Gateway, and was approved with Hurley, not MBNA. This is all fine and dandy, however, I am only allowed a choice between two overpriced computers already outdated, when FOR THE SAME PRICE I could have gotten a decent customised system. I can understand only allowing us small limits, but why force is to to pay for overpriced junk when for the same price we could get a decent system? I just don't understand it.
RE: Discrimination against bad Same reason they'll finance you with a ford or hyundai and not a bmw Save your pennies and build yourself a box, and save 3X the amount financed, is the smart way to do it. Half of the monies gateway charges you is profit line, over a home-built pc with some/used parts. etc.
