Will.........my oldest line of credit is about 8 years, I am only 26, so 8 years is the longest it can be. My biggest, and only, revolving tradeline is a $7000 home improvement loan. No credit cards, everything else is cars and my home.

I didn't see an offer for fixed 7.9%. I know for sure I did not apply for that. They said the three options were prime plus 6.9, plus 8.9 or plus 10.9% (currently 11.15, 13.15 or 15.15%). I saw nothing that mentioned a fixed 7.9%. Maybe that is a different card or something.

It came in the mail 7.9 fixed on new disney card won't see it online, not to change the subject but your history is not the problem it's your lack of revolving credit no other cls for bank one to compare to. that is why limit is what it is lack of accounts. good luck

Will, oh ok. I got several mailed offers from Disney/Bank One before I decided to do it and I never saw anything about 7.9 fixed. Maybe my scores of 730 are not high enough for that fixed rate, although I plan to ask them about it. I have had credit, the accounts are just closed. I have about 13 closed revolving tradelines. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. I will give them a call when I get my cards, worst they can do is tell me no, right?

Also, anyone know the website for the new card? When I call I think it is saying www.disneycardview.com but that is not a valid address. Anyone know the correct web address?

Tried that, it just takes you to the info page where you can apply.

I am really curious about this 7.9% fixed. I have looked at the 2 mailers I got, the app I picked up at the Disney store and at least 6 websites and none of them mention a fixed rate offer. Must have been a REALLY select group that got that offer. Not even the basic app you can pick up at the Disney store mentions anything other than the variable rate.

I work at a place where I get to see all offers from all companies really not a bad place to be. 7.9 was probubly for pre exsisting customers with great history didn't see alot of them go out .

I work for Bank One card services and the 7.9 fixed was a special rate only mailed out to select individuals. I will access the information from the companies intranet and post back, not really informative but I believe those that received that offer have to go through marketing support to get that APR. I work in the Correspondence/Chargebacks department, so I see these requests quite frequent.

Jeremy, does Bank One verify income? We are self- employed with excellent income and good credit, but lower income on our tax returns.
    Thanks!

    Thanks guys.

Will, I have not had a card in 4 years. 4 years ago, 11.15% seemed like a pipe dream. Is that not a very good rate in this time period?

What's the best card for me to get if I decide to go with a second card for emergencies incase a balance needs to be carried. You know, the best fixed APR with the highest limits?

The Disney card is only to charge and pay off so that we can earn some free Disney stuff. I have no intentions of carrying any balance on that card whatsoever.

Bank One does sometimes verify income, as they use a system that many other credit card companies use: when an application is received, in addition to your credit report the system they use also has additional information that informs of personal information such as income, present employer, neighbors, telephone numbers etc. This is used I guess to eliminate or at least lessen the chances of fraud.
I dont use that system as I am not in the new application department, but rather I end up writing the denial letter based on information provided by the person running a record on that system, but most of the letters are already pre-formatted(for legal purposes) The only free form letters I usually write are if it is a special circumstance, and the usual need for more information for a billing dispute. All credit Bureau related disputes go to a different department called CRVV( these might also be those who review reports for application approval/denial as well)

To answer your question Bank One might request for proof of income if there is some type of incongruity with what is reported and what is provided.

In some cases the Bank will ask for proof that the income is what is provided as if it doesn't match with what is in First data.

Bank One's system to verify aforementioned data (from previous post). This system isAlso can be used by Customer security operations(fraud) department if a Trims is placed on a consumer's credit card account to verify its not Fraudulant use. Basically its a beefed up 411 with more infomration then a credit report-including the names of your neighbors(providing you have neighbors)

Re: Re: Re: Disney Bank One Visa

A Trims is basically a red flag-if your spending limit is not correlating with your previous patterns, or if your utilizing more credit than usual, security will contact the cardmember via letter, phone or even at POS, and begin to have the person using the card sometimes referred to as the "perp" in a case that fraudulent use is supected. They use proprietary information for the user of the card to verify information this happens alot if a card is used outside of the country in a different state then where you usually purchase from. I see alot of people who write or call card services to inform that they will be using their card outside of the country-just so they don't have to go through the embarrassment of initial decline and then a call to cso, for account verification. Little do they know the notation on the account doesn't always prevent the Trims from being placed on the account.

    Anyone?

By the way, I called and they would not tell me why the low limit. Is there some specific dept. I should ask for? The cust. svc. rep kinda gave me the run around and told me to apply for a credit limit increase. I said HELLO, I just applied for the card.

    Will,

So the MBNA Platinum Plus is your fav?

I keep getting offers from my bank for a Regions Platinum Plus (up to $100,000 CL) and it's run by MBNA. Is it the same card? If so, I will apply for that one.

    Thanks!
