BANK ONE TO ISSUE COBRANDED DISNEY REWARDS CARD When the most valuable player of next year's Super Bowl stands on the sidelines and announces that he's going to Disneyland, will he also hold up Disney's new cobranded Visa card? "One would hope," says a spokesperson for Bank One Corp., the card's issuer. Chicago-based Bank One, Visa U.S.A. and The Walt Disney Co. announced today that they will create the first-ever cobranded card with Disney rewards. Bank One will issue the no annual-fee card during the first half of next year. Bank One would not disclose financial terms or any more details about the card. Monogram Credit Card Bank of Georgia, which is part of GE Card Services, currently issues a private-label Disney card that is only accepted at Disney stores and theme parks. The cobranded Disney Visa card, however, will be accepted at 24 million locations around the world. In addition, Visa, the San Francisco-based card association, announced a multi-year cooperative-marketing agreement with Disney's theme parks, stores, and studios. Visa also will continue to be a major advertiser on Disney's media properties, such as ABC-Television.
