Re: Re: DISPROVE CHASE LATE??? GEORGE, Chase did the same thing with me, citing something on my "credit report" - yet there was nothing there. I pressed them for a written explanation and they actually obliged me. Must be part of the Fairweather Crock & Bull Act. Since there were no derogs, Chase had to reach for a reason to change terms and interest from 9.9% to 16.9%. They cited, "too much available credit", "too many obligations", and "length of residency". All of those reasons were bogus. In every respect my debt profile had improved, and in every case, the factors they cited and my scores were improving. When they changed terms I had much longer residency than when they gave me their card. Chase is doing this to everyone, and anyone, they think can't move their debt elsewhere! I dealt with several credit card companies when I had a mountain of debt. Chase is the lowest. I closed the Chase account and froze the rate at 9.9% - which is now the highest rate I'm paying. I've worked everything else down to less than 8.0% and Chase will be history soon. Chase pretends that the "right relationship means everything" yet they have no regard for the borrower whatsoever. Re: Re: DISPROVE CHASE LATE??? Well I just PFB'd my complaint as I don't have the military to back me up! We'll see what happens. Boy there were A LOT of other complaints on there about this opt out program and their so called notification of it. George, there are also complaints about neg credit history on CR to be the problem and people are outraged like you as they have no derogs, but chase couldn't give a rats patootie.
Re: Re: DISPROVE CHASE LATE??? Irish Eyes, Military support doesn't help either. I am not going to go into the details of the phone calls because my head is still thudding from listening to their extremely courteous customer service, but the result was that they will research the issue. Yeah right, just like they researched before. Sorry to say that folks but I give up. It's too time consuming and too much of an emotional strain to deal with these people. I'll pay that card off in May and then they can kiss my business goodbye. PawMix
Re: Re: DISPROVE CHASE LATE??? CHASE "THINKS" I have a 30 day late on an old account...(NEVER BEEN LATE!!!) It is IMPOSSIBLE to be late when all checks (or EFT'S) clear my bank BEFORE the due date!!! GEORGE= ============== =====So how did they they come up with you being late?
Re: Re: DISPROVE CHASE LATE??? I know you can close the accounts, but won't that hurt your score and change *your ratios? Straight Talk > PUBLIC FORUMS >> Credit Talk >> DISPROVE CHASE LATE??? Hedwig ======= Yes and it would give others an excuse to do what chase just did. One good thing about it all though is nothing is rigged rite?
