I checked my wife's EQ credit report today and we noticed that she has the following item listed from Airtouch. Date Opened: 12/1995 Date Closed: 12/1995 30 days past due 1 time, 60 days past due 0 times, 90 days past due 3 times. She never had an account with Airtouch and thus she has no paperwork with address, etc. This item doesn't show up in EQ's dispute page which lists all other accounts she has/had; so she'll have to call EQ tomorrow to dispute it. How do we go about sending a dispute letter to Airtouch who merged into Verizon some time ago?
TRY CRA FIRST (paid never late...or not mine). That is AMAZING that you can be 90 days late for an account that opened and closed the same month!!!
