Is it faster to get result if you dispute by fax.Actually I am disputing things that have already came back verfied but this time I found some receipts showing paid.Is there anyone specail person you guys have had luck with at experian or transunion?Thanks..
Not necessarily, just another method of getting it submitted. Of course with the USMail it would be slowed by the time it takes to deliver a CRRR 1st class letter. Disputing online is just a fast as the FAX. They probably will reject the new evidence (receipts) you produce anyway. Sorry I do not know anyone at Experian, but I have seen people get some results from TU through some manager named Don Richman (do a search for his name on the board). Good Luck -Peace, Dave
You mean they can reject statements from the company on their on letter head. I have disputed them before and Tu said they were frivolous and they will not reinvestigate unless i could provide a recent, authentic letter from the creditors.I will look up this Don guy and see if he can help then.
No, they would not automatically reject letters directly from the OC, Dave just meant if you send the CRA, copies of your green cards, along with validation and estoppel letters, the CRA's will tel you "we can't use that" and "we're going to have to contact the OC (or CA) again.
Oh . Thanks you two for being so helpful.I looked up the don richman guy and got his email address does anyone have a direct fax to him? Thanks..
I asked him for one and recieved no response. But I believe he has access to this fax# 714-447-6032. Also, the fax for EQ is 866-233-3777 I like faxing because you save the $4.10 for CRRR. Just my preference though.
I faxed dispute to TU on 7/2 to 1 610-546-4605. Letter included attached copies of documentation to support reinvestigation request. (Last week I received letter that they had they had labeled second online request to investigate dispute as a frivolous dispute. Made me very unhappy!) I called today, and rep confirmed that they received fax, quoted the correct number of supporting documents to letter, said items were posted as in dispute and said item WOULD be reinvestigated. We'll see, I'll post another thread with details. But at least we know this is a good fax number for TU.
The fax number that was given to me by a TU CSR is 714-447-6032. It worked. Don Richman's e-mail is drichman@transunion.com
Another fax number for TU is: 610-546-4605, this is the PA office. I've noticed my file is serviced by the PA branch, while gf's is handled by CA. I'm not certain of this, but wonder if a consumer would have to send the fax to the same office/location that is found on the top of your report.
