If I do an online dispute with Experian about a collection account do they investigate it and then either remove it or say lagit?? If it is lagit do they leave it on my credit report as investigated? Or is there a time frame for it to be removed or confirmed?
Thanks for your input in advance

Once you sispute anything with any CRA, they are supposed to remove that/those items - while they investigate. THey have up to 30 days to investgate. If the creditor does not respond to the CRA's contact within 30 days, then those items will remain deleted.
Warning though: Never dispute anything online, alwaya send them a very stern letter disputing items. When you dispute online, the CRA's usually immediately come back with the word "verified".

I've only seen Equifax actually remove or mask the items.
