Is it better to dispute items online or by mail? Also how much time should lapse before you try to dispute items again?
Either will work. I tend to prefer my mail so as to have a certified letter, return receipt etc, basically a paper trail. Although some here have had success going the way of on-line disputes and selecting "other" to get a real person to review it.
IT DEPENDS!!! EQUIFAX (ON-LINE) only gives you 3 choices... "THIS ACCOUNT IS CLOSED" "NOT MINE (THIS ACCOUNT DOES NOT BELONG TO ME)" "INCORRECT BALANCE" If you wanted to dispute a LATE...NONE APPLY!!! If you have account that says "UNKNOWN" and it should be "AUTHORIZED USER"...NONE APPLY!!!
I prefer to dispute what I can online, because I can be sure it "got there" and save on stamps and such. Its really does depend on what you like and how serious the TL you are dealing with is.
Re: Re: Dispute online or by mail? I guess you have to have HAD a "LATE" on your report for that to show up...
