I have a tradeline listed on my report by the original creditor, but I'm told that it's been handled by a collection agency. Question... if it is assigned/purchased by a CA, why is the tradeline still being listed by the OC instead of the CA?? Since I'm trying to get the tradeline removed, how should I proceed?? Thanks for any help!
Lots of times it will listed by both. Dispute with whoever is on your report and whoever is sending you collection notices. It's easier to first dispute with the CRA as not mine and see what happens.
