I have several entries on my credit reports that are negative, however these people are not currently sending me any correspondence to try to get me to pay. Should I get an address and send them a dispute letter anyway, then follow up with the CRA dispute letter or just dispute it with the CRA? I feel that if I do not send a letter to the OC to dispute prior to disputing with the CRA I will be ruining my opportunity to have it removed. Can someone with more experience address this situation please?
Send a letter CRRR to the Collection Agency. (CA). When you get the green card back, then send one off to the CRA - also CRRR
What if it is not a CA? What if it is the OC? Also, one is, I believe a bank that went out of business years ago - how do I deal with that?

i would just go for the gold and dispute with the CRA's first. if you havent received anything from the ca's wanting their money, they might just not care enough or have you entered in the system write so maybe they wont confirm the account with the CRA's. if they dont take them off then send for validation to the sources.
I have a couple of those kinds of accts...one with Fleet and one with MBNA. They both charged off around 98-99. That I'm aware of, they are not with a CA...and my CR shows that they are late pays, then CO....then after a few months, it just shows paid as agreed with me owing $0. In my case, OC or CRA first?
