Hi, Has anyone ever seen this happen before: I disputed (for the second time) a C/O via PHONE and the minute I logged into credit manager I noticed my score jumped up 55 points. -Sal
this happens everytime you dispute w/ EQ if the TL comes off you can expect your score to stay the same, if it is varified you will see a drop. good luck with the dispute!
You should see a "DISPUTE" notice for that account by opening the dispute. The scoring models will not factor in that account because it is "in dispute" wheras before it was part of the score. If your dispute fails, the account will remain and the notatation will come out and thus be factored into the scoring model....
Dep_TX, I know thats what happens when you dispute equifax, but I disputed this on EXPERIAN - ever heard of this hapening on experian? -Sal
hey Sal, Take another look at your report. Exp. doesn;t work like Eq....maybe some accounts aged or inquires were deleted, balances, etc.
Thickman, Yes I agree with you - I've never had a points change while doing disputes via experian. Honestly I know my experian report like the back of my hand as I pull that one on a daily basis, and I've noted no differences in it except the newly highlighted dispute set by the CSR. Additionally, I just pulled that report 30 minutes before I called in to make the dispute and the score was as I expected it to be. But as soon as I made the dispute I logged back in and It went up by 55 points. -Sal
