I disputed an item with Experian recently. In the process of doing this I also mail the CA a debt validation letter which I haven't heard anything out of. So just to check to see how everything is going I went online to Experian and checked. The original item I disputed is still under investigation but right under it is the same company, same amount, same dates, etc... The only thing that is different is the account number. the original item has an account number of 2707485 and the new duplicate is showing as 98000000002707485. Look at the end of the second account number. Look familiar? Any advice here?
