I was reading through the board and discovered it was a bad idea to dispute too many items at once. I guess I found this site too late. Just a few days ago, I disputed a number of items on my report that I felt I had a good chance at getting removed. -3 collections accounts disputed as "not mine" -2 credit card accts where I was unauthorized user disputed as "belongs to primary acct holder" -1 3-yr old auto loan that was refinanced and closed, but was 30 days late (disputed as "never late" -1 montgomery ward charge off acct, that I thought wouldnt verify since Mward doesnt exist anymore. Well, given this information, what do you think are my chances...think they have merit? Did I mess up my chances by doing them all at once? if so, does anyone know what my next step should be now? Please help! Thanks in advance..
When you do a lot of disputing...they either IGNORE the stuff after #6...or call it FRIVOLOUS... It takes longer, but you have to GO SLOW...unless your really lucky. I always have MINOR "IMPERFECTIONS"...I tried to dispute like 20+ items...they stopped at #3...
Thanks for the replies. If they for some reason "stop" at a certain number, when will be a good time to start disputing again.. as in, time frame? Thanks!
Do something every other month, or if you have problems with ALL 3...just ROTATE... JAN~APRIL~JULY~OCT----->EXPERIAN FEB~MAY~AUG~NOV------->EQUIFAX MARCH~JUNE~SEPT~DEC->TRANS UNION EVEN IF YOU "THINK" YOU HAVE A "PERFECT" CREDIT REPORT...SOMETHING IS GOING TO BE MESSED UP SOON~~~I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY NEGATIVES...BUT I STILL DON'T HAVE WHAT I WOULD CALL PERFECT CREDIT REPORTS!!!
Humor affects your credit score now. Same with Lunar alignments and the stars, they all affect your score.
