Disputes & Experian score?

    Is it true that disputing an item with Experian will take that particular item out of the score equation until the dispute is resolved?

    it seems that only works with equifax..

    It used to work with experian a year or so ago but not anymore...

    i dont know if that works with equifax either.. i disputed an item this morning, still at a measly 617 :(

    I disputed an item online with Experian...no change in score for me. :-(

    it only works with Equifax. Allen I am not sure what you situation is but it does work with Equifax.

    thick i disputed 3 latepays from 1997 with jcpenney this morning

    it shows as DISPUTED REINVESTIGATION status... guess mebbe tomm it will update the score
