Does Experian have the right to refuse to investigate an item if they have investigated it before? I thought I read where CRA by law were required to investigate no matter how many times you dispute. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You need a copy of the fair credit reporting act....

    section 611 (a) (1) Investigation Required

section 616 Civil Liability for Wilfull Non Compliance.... $1000 or actuall damages per violation

The short-answer: no. The CRA is compelled to investigate any claim that isn't deemed "frivolous." Unfortunately, they decide what's frivolous. Regardless, cite the laws Bkev mentioned when you reinitiate the dispute.
